Surely you have heard the news, it has been done by all media and various social channels. Thus, the FDA has approved Olumiant (baricitinib) as a drug for area alopecia. This is great news, but unfortunately it is not for all types of alopecia. Its effectiveness was demonstrated in only about 40% of participants.
It is written about a miracle, but I think it will be just one of many. Already, some forms of treatment are successful for some percentage of people, unfortunately the exact results in the Czech Republic, let alone the world, are not traceable. After prolonged use, there was almost a 100% return of hair in those he took this medication, but 40% is quite small overall, and we still have to take into account that it is only alopecia areata. So not universalis, totalis or androgenic alopecia.
All the media are writing about it enthusiastically. Now it was also approved in Czechia and they are able to give to you in Fakultní nemocnice Královské Vinohrady (as far as I know, maybe also by other doctors). They are stating that it is really mainly for alopecia areata and it is long term treatment. It is possible that Czech insurance company will pay for it, because it is quite expensive.
As for me, I won't be trying it right now, I was always trying cures which were mainly for the skin not inside the body, except some vitamins. I will wait for the results will look.
